Empowering women through sustainable menstrual hygiene

Yashlok Welfare Foundation and Nexus Mangalore Retail Private Limited collaborated on a project aimed at promoting healthy menstruation practices and raising awareness of menstrual wellness and hygiene. Their initiative involved the distribution of free biodegradable sanitary pads to more than 500 women across various areas of Mangalore.

To achieve their goal of reducing plastic waste and advocating for menstrual wellness and hygiene, the Yashlok Welfare Foundation partnered with Gia Industries, a women empowerment project company. Through this partnership, they were able to manufacture biodegradable eco-friendly sanitary pads.

The project holds significant importance in a country where many economically marginalized communities lack access to proper sanitary facilities. By providing sustainable biodegradable sanitary pads to underprivileged women, the initiative strives to address this issue and make a positive impact on their lives.
